Mission Statement
The Gerar trees adorn Ethiopia's countryside.
Our decision to establish lul in Ethiopia is a culmination of our life long personal as well as professional experiences. Our commitment to Ethiopia speaks for itself, although it can be measured in part, by our Ethiopian focused activities which extends more than two decades. These include in 1984, we became spokespersons for the Ethiopian Famine relief, and concurrently organized Ethiop Village Arts exhibit in the New York tri-borough area, Virginia, and later in Alaska. In 1995, we travelled to Ethiopia and were able to develop a link with Addis Ababa University theatre Department and National Theater. Beginning in 1998 we developed a web presence with the intent to foster greater interest in Ethiopian History, culture and the Arts.
It seems to us that there is no better time than now to act on our aspirations. We are ready to put to use our best skills and talents; to help create a dynamic integrated educational opportunity based on a broad performance arts program.
